PROJECT: Hard Body, fig. 1   Note: Fingertips and child hands combine in a mass of shifting age and growing body.   Materials: Acrylic, plaster.   Scale: roughly 6" x 6" x 6".

PROJECT: Soft Body, fig. 1   Note: A shlumpy conjoined form. The piece toys with empathetic reactions, while creating a view into the bowels of the gallery.   Materials: Acrylic, spray paint, ink, yarn, hair, fiber, wood.   Scale: 19" x 16" x 10".

PROJECT: Soft Body, fig. 2   Note: The monstrous nature of a biopsied tumor is revealed in this personified dissection of the body. Fleshiness is amplified by pink paint on the back, glowing against the pedestal. Supported by a kickstand, a literal leg confuses interior and exterior. Blinking eyes sparkle back at the onlooker.   Materials: Acrylic, spray paint, fabric, fiber, glass, plastic, wood.   Scale: 12" x 11" x 9".
